 2009-01-01 - Impressive for the price

I am impressed with the price, and the improvements. we have a book and cd included.
I have found that the more complex a situation the more specific the person writting the will needs to be. And this software has continued to expand for a reasonable price!
It will improve your knowledge, and give you a product. If your state or situation requires more, you can have an attorney review it.
Otherwise many have no wills and this is a decent and evolving product.
As I find out more about it I will share my experiences.
Yet there are lots of reviews regarding this product.
It appears that this company listens to the customers.
 2008-12-26 - Nolo knows how
I'm one of those people who really need to know the why and how of everything. I appreciated being able to look at each clause, then read below it a simple explanation of why the clause is legally necessary. This book has a great format, with various subjects and appendices easy to find. And it comes with the Quicken software. I really don't know how they could make it any easier to facilitate what all of us know we need to do: Make out that living will. Great product.
2008-12-23 - Wow, quick and easy
I thought this would be exceedingly complex, but this willmaker is remarkably easy to do with step by step instructions. Even my complex needs were made remarkably simple.
What's more, they have steps to help you along every step of the way. This includes answering questions you might have regarding will making and other areas.
I won't have to use an attorney for a will. How cool is that?
2008-12-18 - A very complete will making kit
This package includes 3 items:
* Quicken WillMaker Plus 2009 Estate Planning Software (CD)
* A 600 page Nolo Will making book (paperback)
* The Executor's Guide (eBook on CD)
* A $10 coupon for Nolo's online law store (you must register to receive this)
The software loaded easily and was easy to use. Upon loading, the software asked me to register and perform a web update. The update gives you a list of changes and updates made to the software. The only inconvenience is that the update requires a reboot, which is odd considering the initial software install required no reboot.
After install and update, the software gives you an overview of features and allows you to begin. This is not a simple will package but a comprehensive software package that allows you to create a variety of estate planning documents, including child and pet care agreements, power of attorney, final arrangements, living trusts, promissory note, subscription cancellations, request for birth and death certificates and a number of other useful documents.
The software includes electronic users and legal manuals.
The first step is to select the document you wish to create. The software then walks you through all the steps for creating the document. The software asks you a variety of questions applicable to the document you are creating, then imports your answers into the document for you. The software walks you through each aspect of creating the document. One concern is that if you have never created the specific document, you may have questions, which are not automatically answered but between the book, software and CD, everything you need is here.
I haven't gone through the whole package yet but once I have, I will update this review but my first impression is that it is a complete and easy to use package.

2008-12-18 - Lawyer In A Book
I used to have a copy of "Family Lawyer" software, which had very limited instructions with it. This book, on the other hand, is just perfect! Lots of manual, with the software needed to prepare the legal documents every family needs! I have been able to find answers to every one of my questions at every step of the way, and even supplies software updates through Jan 2010!
