2008-12-26 - Thank GOD the Canadians Couldn't Bring Down Mark Steyn
Was there ever a writer in the Later Roman era as insightful, funny and dread-inducing as Mark Steyn? Likely not, because Romans slid into their collapse mostly asleep at the wheel. We (the West), though, have this brilliant man to keep pinching us into lucidity, so perhaps we'll make a longer go of keeping the monsters of the Middle East out of our lands. This wonderful book deserves a big, grossly enormous government subsidy to make sure it remains in every American high school library. Forget the universities, they're too busy checking their iPhones for how to properly bend east to Mecca. Love you, Mark Steyn!!!!

Nothing like more conservative xenophobia. It doesn't surprise me that yet another conservative fears what he decides to be ignorant of.
