This book was great. It came at a time when I was experiencing a sexless marriage. The best advice I got from Dr. Berman's book was to experiment with sex toys. So, I went to a women owned and operated sex toy company online (www.goodvibes.com) and bought my first vibrator. It changed my life --as has this book. I can only encourage other women to do the same. Seriously, if you have never used a sex toy in the past and you are a women over 40, go buy one!!

All of the information in this book is very generic. Every single chapter reads like this..."(fill in the blank)is very important". Insert the words "communication", "kissing", etc., and you have most of the book right there. For people who are interested in this book as a learning tool, save your money by looking at the table of contents, and researching each topic individually on google--you'll get more (and better) information. If you're a person who is already confident in the subject matter, and looking for an interesting read, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. It's not an interesting book, and the language used is geared toward women looking for romantic experiences. I found it very sappy and lacking in passion.
2008-12-30 - Not at all what I exp!ected
After watching the Oprah show, I was excited to read this book. What a HUGE let down! I would not recommend this book to anyone. Buyer beware!
 2008-12-29 - Real Sex unleashes real pleasure...
When I saw that Dr. Berman had written another book, I had to pick up--so glad I did! She really went all out on this one and explained so much to me. I found so much good, useful information that I will keep this one on my bookshelf indefinitely. So, if you're looking to spice things up or just want to have some better sex, this is probably the book for you. Another book I totally got a lot out of, too was How to Snag a Guy and Keep Him Hooked: 99 Ways to Make Him Ache for You
2008-12-28 - Real Sex for Real Women
I just started reading this book. It is very informative. I believe it will help me learn a lot! I definitely recommend this book to all women!
